Intel vs AMD: Why the Intel Baseline Still Matters

People often ask which is better, but in the real refurbishment market the Intel benchmark still helps buyers understand value, workload fit, and resale positioning.

The market still understands Intel tiers

Even when AMD offers competitive performance, many buyers and resellers are still used to thinking in Intel generations and laptop classes. That makes Intel a useful comparison language, especially for market fit and general buyer understanding.

When this helps buyers

If someone wants a laptop for office work, web browsing, and general productivity, then seeing a Ryzen 5 5625U mapped to a Core i5 11th Gen class makes the decision simpler. It removes guesswork and reduces research friction.

Where it stops being perfect

This should never be treated as a rigid rule. Different devices use different cooling, memory, battery, and display configurations. Intel-equivalent bands are guidance, not final verdicts.
